Our Church Services
We gather for worship every Sunday morning at 10.30 am.
Our principal service of worship is the Eucharist (also known as Holy Communion, the Mass, or the Lord's Supper). On some Sundays we have a shorter service called Morning Prayer. There is always a short message for reflection based on the scripture readings for the day, as well as congregational singing. We offer an "on demand" children's program during part of the service with trained and approved leaders--but children are very welcome and encouraged to stay for the whole service (which is seldom longer than 60 minutes).
During the summer months, St Thomas' congregation moves to Trinity-the-Marsh (County Road 21 west at Glamorgan Road, Cavan Monaghan), a 7 minute drive from downtown Millbrook. This little chapel-of-ease was opened in 1876 for nearby farming families and is one of the few remaining examples of an Ontario board & batten church.
A time for refreshments and conversation follows all services. From September to June, a light lunch is served on the first Sunday of the month.
At St Mary's Chapel, Lifford, there are yearly services for Harvest Home, Advent/Christmas, and on Easter Day.
"Decoration Day" services are held outdoors each year in St Mary's Cemetery, Lifford, and St Paul's Cemetery, Zion Line.
If you are new to Anglicanism and/or want to learn more about our ways, please contact us. We would be happy to chat with you. Instruction sessions can be arranged if so desired.
Whatever your religious beliefs or "life-style," you will be warmly welcomed at our church. We look forward to meeting you!
